More stuff about the music and stories on this week’s Melodica In tune with the Melodica aesctetic, covering a broad range of exciting, inspiring, beautiful new music from electronica to house to experimental. Melodica chart on Juno Download: here. That Fuzzy Feeling – Tevo Howard – The Age Of Compassion – Buzzin’ Fly This week I was struggling to find a tune of the week until, just before the recording deadline, this one popped into my inbox. It’s a beautiful slice of well-produced, modern, steely, atmospheric house music. It doesn’t do much but it does just enough to give you a tingling feeling, which is what the tune of the week is all about. Out Getting Ribs This week’s Strings, Wood and a Box of Air features new solo talent Zoo Kid, aka Wesley’s mate Archie, with his first 7″ single. Archie writes songs about growing up in south west London channeling the spirit of Joe Strummer into the 21st Century. Watch the video here. International Artwork International Feel, our favourite label from Uraguay, have a lovely line in artwork. Here’s the latest on their next release from DJ Harvey’s LocusSolus project. Numbers Numbers is a special compilation put together by the Numbers label to celebrate them being label of the year 2010 on Bleep.com This week I feature Redinho’s Pitter Patter, more on next week’s show. Bleep label of the year. Beach Fossils I play a track by Brooklyn band Beach Fossils on this week’s show. Here’s a sampler from their album with some free downloads (of course, the best thing to do is buy the whole album as it is rather fine): Beach Fossils sampler
