. This episode there’s some fresh, new proper house music, the new Gold Panda single, something from the new Beach House album and three versions of the classic Song To The Siren. Then some more new stuff. New. Did I mention new? All the shows are archived on the Chris Coco page at Mixcloud. There’s a new Melodica chart on Juno Download: here. Follow Chris Coco on MixcloudTHAT FUZZY FEELING: ARGY & BAJAKA – UPON YOURSELF It’s hard to find out much about this deep and soulful house beauty. It’s by Argy, it’s the first single from a forthcoming album called Fundamentals, the singer with the lovely voice is Bajka, it’s remixed by Onsulade… And it’s not on Soundcloud. Oh, don’t listen to it, just buy it. GOLD PANDA New single, as esotheric and actually plain weird as ever. But what energy, what feel. It’s glitching lovely. METRO AREA A fine new EP from Darshan Jesrani and Morgan Geist aka Metro Area. It’s old school house/techno of course, sounding as classic as ever. Nerves, the lead track, is my favourite.

Coco & Kupper collaboration
link to Traxsource In the spring of 2005, two pioneers or electronic music, Chris Coco and Eric Kupper, got together in a basement studio in London. Armed with a Roland Juno 106, a ProTools rig and a few other bits of gear, they created this truly timeless piece of music. A shortened version of this epic gem was released back in 2005 on a U.K. compilation, but this is the first time it is seeing a “proper” single release, and is available for digital download… Lush and layered with subtleties, this is a deep and sexy atmospheric soundscape that sounds like an Ibiza sunrise… The previously released edited version was praised and supported by numerous leading DJs worldwide. Now for the first time, the original journey is available, just in time for some warm weather enjoyment. Produced by Chris Coco and Eric Kupper Written by Chris Coco (Copyright Control) & Eric Kupper {Squalene Music/Fat Fox Music (ASCAP)} Recorded and mixed at Fat Fox Studios (London) and Hysteria Recording (Weston, CT, USA) Keyboards and guitar by Eric Kupper

. This episode is, I suppose, a continuation of last week’s Balearic themed show, but with a lot less 80s and 90s and a lot more future music. But let’s start where we came from with a little dubbed up 80s disco and see where that goes. Yes? All the shows are archived on the Chris Coco page at Mixcloud. There’s a new Melodica chart on Juno Download: here. Follow Chris Coco on MixcloudTHAT FUZZY FEELING: ELECTRIC ZEUS – BELIEVE Electric Zeus are DJ Shane SoS and producer Steve ‘The Captain’ Peacock. Shane spends his life in the summer. When the sun is strong in the southern Hemisphere he’s at home in Sydney, as it makes it’s way north for the European summer he decamps to Ibiza. Is he living life at double speed? Who knows, but he certainly has a good tan. The Captain used to live in UK but now spends most of his time in his studio in Sydney adding to his vast store of musical and technical knowledge. As this is a MelodicaRecordings release there’s an a side and a b side. The a is Believe, a chugging slice of slo mo electronic disco for back rooms, bars and after parties. The b is Sunscape, which kind of does what it says on tin, it’s a beautiful Balearic piece, perfect for soundtracking a magic moment on the sunset strip or the ashram or a harbour side warehouse party. DISTORTED DUB If you like your dub distorted, if you like your reggae sunburnt and kind of crackly then Sun Araw & M Geddes Gengras meet The Congos’ new album Icon Give Thank is definitely for you. It’s raw and experimental and really rather strangely satisfying,a mix of Los Angeles psychedelia care of Geddes and San Araw and beautiful old school reggae courtesy of the legendary Congos. DAVE AJU Heirlooms is the second album from San Francisco Bay Area-based musician Marc Barrite. It’s sort of post everything electronica with influences ranging from hip hop to ambient to jazz, so, while some of it is a little hit and miss, there are moments of brilliance, like this track.
