THE SHOW

After a few weeks on location we’re back in the studio for a catch-up session. So much new music…

THAT FUZZY FEELING: VOICES OF BLACK – HER FLOWER EP

After the rather wonderful Have You To Myself EP, Brooklyn boys Baba Ali and Jules Born, aka Voices Of Black, are back with more cool, laidback, electronic dance music. That Fuzzy Feeling for the whole EP which we will be exploring in the coming weeks.

SAMANTA WHATES

06 Black & Blue – Dark Nights make for Brighter Days by samantha whates

Something from some time Coco collaborator Samantha Whates. Black and Blue is taken from the lovely new album Dark Nights Make For Brighter Days. It’s folky, it heavily influenced by the early 70s sound of Nick Drake and, as the album title suggests, it’s melancholy but ultimately uplifting.

BLESS THE WEATHER

Hippy musings, the title track from the classic folky album Bless The Weather, released in Island Records in November 1971. This is proper stormy sunset gear, still sounding incredibly fresh.

ATLAS SOUND

Atlas Sound’s new album Parallax is released on 4AD on November 8. The first tune to surface on the web it the rather epic and extremely terrific Terra Incognita. The scarily thin looking Bradford Cox sounds like he is onto something pretty classic with this release.
