Pearson Sound aka David Kennedy with what Resident Advisor describe as
“a weirdo-banger by one of UK music’s most distinctive producers.”
This is one of those simple but effective dancefloor tunes that you can’t quite believe will work. There’s really nothing in it but beats, bass and a little organ hook, but it’s, well, just great.

DISCO BALEARIQUE

The prolific Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca are back on Gomma for Erodiscodique Vol 3, an EP of fine old school new school Balearic dancefloor gems. My favourite is this one, featuring the nostalgic Hallelujah sample pitched up and down, it makes me go all 88, in a good way.

ENTER THE LABYRINTH

More Balearica from France, this time via Australia’s Future Classic label who always seem to deliver. Joakim, the godfather of French electro, according to French i-D magazine with a fine slice of adult disco.

TINY LITTLE HOUSES

I came across this one on Soundcloud, it’s a free download from a self style lo-fi, indie-folk band from Melbourne, Australia. It’s a nice vibe and a really good song.

FUTURE SOUND OF JAZZ VOL12

Michael Reinboth, the boss of Compost Records , comes correct with the Future Sounds Of Jazz Vol 12 collection. It’s been five years since the last one, the first came out in 1995. This is a fabulous collection of mostly instrumental, inspiring jazz influenced music that just flows.

VALLEY OF PARADISE

Picture discs. Remember them? Nice image, not so nice sound? Well, that’s how you can get hold of this rather fine remix of Psychemagic’s Valley Of Paradise. The remix is by Time & Space Machine and the vinyl is out right about now.
